This post is on the Civic section as well, but I realize this question can also be answered by Type R owners who have either of this setup. I am about to change my Tokico Illumina for either the Apexi N1 Damper or a combination of Koni Yellow + Gound Control system. Money is not a problem in this case, but I want to know which is a better choice? My car is going to tracks and it is a daily driver for me. Please give suggestions and explanation. Thanks a lot.

I've been happy with Konis.

 

400/500 GC on Koni Yellows + chassis bars y0

 

450/650 GC/Koni Yellow set up here...more than happy

 

Neuspeed race spings with koni yellows, my car rides smooth and the rebound is great, and it is adjustable!!!

 

i have apex n1 coilovers in my car. they are the 99 spec ones. i like the ride and for the street, and the track. could be a little stiffer. have not owned a set on konis.

 

Sorry to hijack the thread, but you guys that are running Konis/GCs, what kinda price range are they? And wheres a good place to buy?

Do you have to have the Konis revalved to run over ~500lbs?

 

I got my Konis for $500, GCs for $300.

380/450s and Neuspeed Koni's. Very happy with them.

You should revalve around 600 or so, that's the upper limit of the shocks.

 

new koni's are around $550-600 and new gc's are about $339.

 

So I guess not many people own the Apexi N1 Damper system huh? I have heard a lot of good things about Koni yellow + GC, but have not heard anything about Apexi. Anyway, thanks for all the comments. Thanks a lot
