Clutch disc question
I just tried to put my transmission and engine together but I realized it wouldnt hook up. So i go to take the disc off and try it on the trany and the disc doesnt fit. Its a ys1 cable tranny from a ls and a exedy organic clucth kit. Its really buggin me out and i dont know whats going on. does anyone know whats goin on?
Theres 2 different applications one for 90-91 teg, and another for 92+. Sounds like you have the wrong disc. The pressure plates are the same though. Ryan
EDIT: for a typo!!

Well since you said the clutch you have is for a 90-91 ys1 I would say the transmission is a 92+ ys1 which uses a different disc than the 90-91 clutch kit. I would send the clutch back and get a 92-93 ys1 clutch kit.
the discs are different one is 12 spline (big spline) and the other is a 24 spline you probably need the 24 spline for your tranny count the splines the the shaft then get the right one. hope that helps
