quick battery drain question
Hey guys, kinda in a hurry, I search Battery, battery question, and battery drainage
Anyways, I might be going over to the drive in movie later tonight with the lady. This is one of those places where you have to tune in the radio to listen, so I wanted to know how long the 2000 EK could sit around with the radio on without the engine on. I would just let the car run, but Im betting the idle could drone a bit, if not **** off some movie fans. I just dont want the car to die with the lady with me
Sorry if its a repost, but please give me a break due to time restrictions
TIA

yeah, stock battery and alternator and all that, no amp or non-factory speakers. The headunit is a JVC MP3 cd player, nothing crazy.

you should be fine for a couple of hours... i use my 98 civic ex radio (no tape) in my cx for over an hour no drainage.
but when i put my 94 acura (tape) oem radio it drains the power in 30 minutes..<<< the acura does have more power as far as sound goes so it just drains more juice...
test it out at home first that way you will know for future use...thats what i did..
you'll be putting on the a/c anyway once you get there...just me you will..come on its the drive in and you wont be watching the movie...haa haa so either way the engine will be coming on....
or just park off to the side in the dark...

A/C doesn't work when the car isn't running.
