Good Suspension for '02 Civic Si??
I am currently researching the best suspension for my 2002 Si. From what I have read, there are 2 main set ups that are the best. 1) Ground Control coil overs w/ Koni yellow struts. I heard this is a good setup but the Koni yellows require some "modifications" to fit. The second setup is 2) Mugen Showa. I have heard that these fit perfectly without any "modifications." Any input would be great. Thanks.

Do you know the best place (reputable, price) to purchase the Mugen Showa Coilover? Thanks.

I can't say enough good things about eibach I have the eibach pro spring kit with koni 5-way struts, and it rides like a dream. Not bouncy, not too stiff, just right! Corners like a demon too!
There are many more excellent choices out there. I think you left out some of the nicer ones. I am extremely happy with my Tein Flex's. I would recomend them to anyone. I also hear a lot of good things about the JIC FTLA2's.

I am not familiar with this "Omni Man" you speak of. What additional information can you give me about his suspension product?

Search. He is a long time member here, also the inventor of LS/Vtec. I believe he is also an H-T sponsor. His products have recieved many great reviews.

Don't listen to these JDM ******. Teins suck, especially for the EP. [edit: Though I think they have an EP specific application now, which they didn't previously]
If you have the know-how, do the Ground Control/Koni set up, or wait for the KYB shocks.
Otherwise, get the Showa. It's the same OEM stuff used in our cars.

Tein currently has 3 EP specific applications. Basics, SS's, and FLEX's. Why do Teins suck?

Hmm.
Just a couple of observations.
About (1), a lot of people who had great reputations w/the DC2 ITR people, like Ground Control, aren't really cutting it w/the DC5 and EP3 applications.
I actually tried a Ground Control setup on my EP3 and wasn't very satisfied with it.
The automatic recommendation for "Ground Control & Koni Yellow" comes from the DC2 ITR crowd, where this is a rather inexpensive but magical combination that appears to be fully the equal of suspension that cost as much as $1500 more.
Anyway, just 'cause it's so good on the DC2 doesn't mean it's an automatic shoe-in for the DC5 and EP3.
Regarding (2), I'm a little worried that you are referring to "Mugen/Showa" because although the Mugen Sport Suspension does use Showa shocks, there are also other Mugen fully adjustable suspensions that all also use Showa shocks.
I am using the Mugen Sport Suspension (usually around $1000). It's very well thought out and you don't need to worry about anything. Just put them on, get an alignment and drive your car.
If you are referring to the other fully adjustable Mugen/Showa suspensions, then you are in another league as far as the amount of money you want to spend on a street driven EP3. LOL... Think about this. It's really probably overkill unless you are going to the track quite a bit or you're about to go racing.

This is a very high powered recommendation.
AJ Racing has been fooling with DC5 and EP3 as long as they've been out, and as distributors they have been aware of all the developments as they're happening.
If AJ says they'd go w/Mugen as a no-brainer, that'd pretty much settle it for this writer.

Definately agree with you George, but for the people that want the ability to adjust ride height, the mugen isn't the best choice right?
and Thanks for the info about the groundcontrol setup on ep3's not being so good
