ok, I have the complete harness from the Del Sol on my B16,

I have just now realized, (after the engine is already in )
that the del sol harness is COMPLETELY DIFFERANT!!!!

Apparrently the Del Sol harness is not only the engine harness, but all of the underdash wiring as well all wrapped up into one harness.

My stock civic harness was damaged during the engine removal process, so now my question is.

Do I

1) keep the sol harness, and rewire all the underdash stuff as well (if that will even work)

2) go buy another harness (which will work best? (GSR, Civic EX)??


By the way this is a 96 civic
and a 97 del sol B16

 

For one thing...GSR harnessess are COMPLETELY different. Not worth the money to make it work. I'd assume that they Del Slo harness would be the same as the civic. But, I have friend that used the Del Slo harness...I'm seeing him tonight..I can get the absolute answer then.

But, if you want to start over, get a 96-98 EX harness. That's the only one you want to get.

 

if I get a new civic wiring harness, what all need to be wired separately, just the knock sensor? or what??

if i can use the ls wiring harness when i get my motor ill let u have my harness out of my dx......i know ull have to re wire some stuff...but id dont know if itll work...just let me know

Okay, so you can't use the Del Slo harness. Just won't work. Nor will any Integra harness, unless you go through all the crap of re-doing the under dash wiring...not at all worth it.

The only option you have is a harness from a 96-98 Civic. Preferably an EX. All you have to do is extend a few wires and you're good to go. About the knock sensor...not sure. Check Hybrid on that one??
