Default 5 Channel Alpine V12

I have a 5 channel alpine and my friend says that you can only hook the amp up to the speakers and you'll get no vocal out of them because the amp isn't high output. What would be the point of amplifying the speakers if I won't get any vocal out of them????

He's says that it's not high output so if I hook it up to mids and tweets I'll get no vocal.

Werd! I agree, hook it up, it should work just fine (as long as everything is functioning like the manufacturer intended it to). I don't know what your friend is talking about.......

If he was, then he would be right, but then kevinm1981 is the one snorting the exhaust, for wanting to hook up a mono sub ch. to his high pass speakers 94

Or bridge the 4 channels into 2 and get some really nice sounding fronts and a sub

Which v12 is this? If it's the one i have sitting in my garage, it sucks for 4 speakers and a sub. It has not sub power at all on the one channel.

The old series ( mrvf353-357) allowed the sub channel to support
a 2 ohm load. This was great...about 260 watts @ 2 ohms
it was the perfect amp for those who wanted an all in one solution.
The newer versions only support a 4 ohm mono load on the sub channel.
I have used the older model in many systems even in 3 channel mode...
it was excellent and surprised a lot of peeps..great bang for the buck.

As for the posters pal...I don't think he has a clue...

this amp was made in 2000 and it cost $500. It hits pretty hard for only 135 watts RMS, on a single 12 inch RF Punch Z.
