5 Channel Alpine V12
I have a 5 channel alpine and my friend says that you can only hook the amp up to the speakers and you'll get no vocal out of them because the amp isn't high output. What would be the point of amplifying the speakers if I won't get any vocal out of them????

Werd! I agree, hook it up, it should work just fine (as long as everything is functioning like the manufacturer intended it to). I don't know what your friend is talking about.......

The old series ( mrvf353-357) allowed the sub channel to support
a 2 ohm load. This was great...about 260 watts @ 2 ohms
it was the perfect amp for those who wanted an all in one solution.
The newer versions only support a 4 ohm mono load on the sub channel.
I have used the older model in many systems even in 3 channel mode...
it was excellent and surprised a lot of peeps..great bang for the buck.
As for the posters pal...I don't think he has a clue...
