Zeal B2's vs. OTS/Koni setup
I have recently come across a set of Zeal B2's (used) for a good price. Currently, I run OTS Konis with Neuspeed Race springs. My car is a '91 CRX Si and is my daily driver/solo II car. Would I be better off getting a set of GC sleeves and keeping my Konis? Or should I fork out some dough for the Zeals?
I have had good success locally with my current setup, but I feel I need to start playing with spring rates...

hmmmm... maybe just buy new springs and get your Koni's revalved if they aren't up to snuff?
Christian, who thinks you could do a-lot of tuning with what you'd spend on those pimpy Zeals

Hello Tyson,
Judging from this past weekend’s performance you need more then new springs and dampers. VCMC is offering a Velocity II school. Hehe! J/K
If the cost is equal for the two spring and damper set ups you are considering I suggest sticking with the Koni's and GC sleeves. Your dampening adjustment range and spring choice will be larger, easer to make changes and service with the Koni/GC set up.

Actually, I found out why I was so slow. My slicks were basically dead, too many heat cycles. Last night at the our tuesday night solo series, both fronts corded! So much for the slicks lasting the entire season! I don't know if I will buy used again.

Looks like my better option is to get some GC sleeves, play with the spring rates until I find what works the best, then get the Koni's revalved accordingly. Sound like a good plan? I appreciated everyone's input. Thanks.
