I just notice my car was leaking oil.. and when I went under the car the half shaft metal seal was off and free. This is the seal that is around the half shaft and sits up against the transmission...

I tried pushing it back but still lose and free. How do I fix this?

Buy a new one. They are about 7 bucks from Honda. Yo will then have to remove the halfshaft to install it but that is the only way.

I bought a new rubber seal, replaced it but it still leaks oil and the metal piece wont go back on

 

maybe vin deisel should help you out, jk. Make sure the seal is flush against the tranny, no all the way in. and what metal piece are you talking about?

 

I guess there is a metal piece that cover up the seal against the tranny. It goes around the half shaft..
