What's the tranny fluid you guys use when you start to get a grind. Sycro-something...
Just put a GSR tranny in with a little over 100k. Last owner (JUN1OR) beat the **** out of it. Grinds a little when you power shift into 5th. My guess is the 5th and reverse syncros are starting to go bad.
Isn't there some fluid by GM that everyone uses and has good luck with?
I'm thinking about getting some redline shock-proof.
Let me know what you think.

GM Synchro Mesh (Friction Modified).
FYI, reverse has no synchro.

If you have an LSD in that tranny then get GM syncromesh friction modified.
If you have a GSR tranny w/o LSD then get GM syncromesh.
It'll put a bandid on that syncro, however, it won't repair it. It works wonders, i've ran it in both tranny setups that I've had.

That's not the "friction modified" bottle.

Supposedly, the GM Synchromesh with the FM additive comes from AC Delco. The version that AC Delco sells is the exact same fluid, but a lot cheaper. The part number for the AC Delco version is #10-4014. The part number for the GM FM is #12377916.

If it were me I wouldn't use that. But thats just me. Im up to spec or something better, if your into performance.
Now as long as your not using synthetic you should be alright. If you said synthetic then I would have suggested you change it.
If it were me, i'd drain that **** and fill it with honda mtf or gm syncromesh. Trannies are far from cheap.....

please clarify if for torsen style (gear type ) or clutchpack Kaaz. Because i believe fm would have no bearing on a stock honda lsd unless the clutchpack style gsr from japan.
