Default what can we expect? think its time for some tuning..

1994 Civic hatch
b18c1 motor 70k miles on the odometer
skunk2 IM manifold
AEM cold air
dc sports 4-1 header
ITR cataylitic converter
apexi n1 2.5" catback
apexi vafc (set stock need tuning :-))
kenji chipped p28 ecu
stock fuel system for right now
recently got a full tune-up

i was thinking about getting a set of cam gears and putting them on before it goes to the dyno.. would the cam gears be worth it yet what what is installed on the car?? i know Tom in the civic forum got 20whp just from tuning the vafc, im not sure what else he had done to his ITR motor..

thanks for the replys

so cam gears w/ a stock head would not be beneficial to part of the tuning??

More than likely they would help some but every car is different. By adjusting the gears you can move the curve around to maximize midrange or topend, also you can often realize greater gains if your motor's cam timing wasn't ideal from the factory or if the head has been milled or similiar as this will effect cam timing.

I normally tell people that in order to get the most out of time spent with me on the dyno to have fpr, gears, vafc/sfc/standalone etc. and of course base timing at the dizzy.... the more you have, the more options it gives the tuner.
