im getting a code 6 after cam/valvetrain install

Default im getting a code 6 after cam/valvetrain install

i have a 2000 civic si. a few friends and i have just installed my cams/valvetrain. we gaot it all back together, but now i am getting a code 6 ECT - water temperature sensor. im sure i plugged everything in. where is the sensor?? what went wrong?

ECT is on the passenger side of the head. just make sure u didnt swap it with another plug, then reset the ecu. it should go away

Yeah screw doing it yourself, possibly learning something, and saving some money. Lets all forget HT, and start taking our cars to shops.

check your harness, maybe you switched some plugs.

does anyone know what color wires are in the plug that plugs into it?? i know there are a few plugs on the same side that are the same shape.

should be two wires. Located on the left side of the head in front, where the coolant hose goes in. I had to replace mine last year. If it is faulty you car will have a hard time starting when it is hot
