Hey I have heard some good and bad things about garage kwai. I live in wisconsin and really dont know any good shops. Iam not looking for a swap just to build up my d16y8 motor (cams, gear, springs, retainers, p&p head, tb, port matched intake manifold basically everything). Can they do it are they any good. What has been your experience with the shop. I would call and ask myself but I live at my college dorm and its long distance. I really dont got the money to be wasting on a phone call. check out the Hybrid section. i just asked about Garage Kwai over there about a month ago. can't seem to find the link though, so maybe a Search would help.

fast hatch,
but install was not all that good
do yourself a favor and avoid some stress
dont go there because there
always extremely busy and they
really cant promise delivery time

Garage Kwai is garbage, they sell hot motors. Try Evolution in Arlington, they have great mechanics.

apg in chicago supposedly does head work and all that stuff. but every time i call to ask for more info, they never give me a straightforward answer. they say they're still working on stuff and dont know how much it will cost etc etc. sounds to me like they dont have their stuff together.

dont know what evolution does or what kinda facilities they have.

apg straight up sucks. my homie bought 5zigen 5zr's white... he wanted the polished lip powdercoated white also to match the rims... after a couple of months they started peeling... he confronted them and they denied promising the lips powdercoated, they claimed they told him they were gonna spraypaint them white... liars for real... after intense arguing they admitted they were sprayed... caught in the act!!!

Call kingmotorsports (kingmotorsports.com) maybe they can refer you to someone.

 

I have heard from many people that kingmotor sports does shitty work and are way overpriced.

 

I heard that king was good. I never heard any negativity about them.

Jerry?Funny ****.At Garage Kwai they send 2 of their mechanics on a jet plane to Japan....they than break into early integras,civics,and CRX's...than take the engines...and hop on the jet plane back to arlington hts just in time to open.I'll be sure to get my engines from Evolution if they hook me up on a discount for my huge *** wing,air freshners,universal muffler,and stickers.
