Do you guys use the tappet and special wrench for valve adjustments?
you have to get it from snap on or mac, its is pretty expensive if i recall..wrench and screwdriver always worked for me
yes i do,
but there are times were i had to adjust the valve with out them,
adjust it loose, then try to tighten the lock nut by hand without moving the adjuster, then snug them with a 10mm socket. the adjuster will move, but since you adjust them loose, it should be ok. recheck the clearance
but still i recomend you use the special tool, makes like easier and faster

This works too, but it takes time. It is much much faster with the snap-on locknut adjustment tool
Well worth the $$ IMO

its a matco.
steep? but people have NO problem paying 45 for some drain plugs.
and if you like to rev you need to check your valve more often then 30k.
