something is messed up. please help.
long story. heres the short version.
installed short ram intake. one day i heard clanging under the hood. filter had fallen off intake becasue clamp broke. not sure how long i was running without filter.
now.
my car feels really slow sometimes ever since this happened. say some dirt got sucked in and scratches my cylinders (with i think could have happened becasue say it got sucked in with the air and then the combustion happened im sure that could grind the dirt against the walls) what can be done here to restore my car back to life.

well if your cylinders are dirty like you suspect you're going to have to take that **** apart. If its scored like you think, you're going to have to resleve it. That kind of sucks man.
How long did you run without a filter?

how deep are the scratches? are they too deep for honing the cylinders back to normal? if so, you might want to just keep those stock sleeves and get some oversized pistons, which will definatly take care of it.
change the oil. if there are contaminants , dirt, etc. changing the oil can possibly help. make sure nothing is clogged. how long did you run without a filter? did it for sure suck anything big up? sucking up particles of dust for a short bit will not destroy your motor.

so what do they do? bore the cylinders and then put in oversized pistons? does this work well?

thats exactly what they do.. youll have to get itr or ctr pistons though because i think those are the only oversized pistons available. itll raise your compression a little bit, but youll have fresh walls to work with.

abotu how much does labor on that cost (generally) and are they able to get it down to an exaclt measurement? like will it still seal well around the new pistons?
any reputable machine shop will do it for you...its like a stock fit. the piston rings will sit fine. its prolly between 80-120 to get it bored. its worth it cuz you are starting all over. the only downside is that you will prolly have to pull the block out and take it to the shop.
go buy a BG induction kit and fresh spark plugs from your dealer to clean your throtlebody/ vavles, follow the directions and make sure you use some wd40/ brake clean to spray into the iac valve then blow it out with compressed air so nothing runs down into it and causes it to stick. if that doesnt help, run a dry compression test/ leakdown test and get back to use with some numbers, if its low we can then go from there, or you can do that first if dirty got intothe combustion chamber it more than likely would wear your rings pretty fast depending on how much got in......just a suggestion(its hard to diagnose stuff online)
mmm, ya, before tearing your engine apart do a compression and leakdown test...
i seriously doubt you scored the cylinder walls.you would know if you did....
