UKDM Gauge Cluster Write-up: install into 90-91 CRX's
Ok this is honestly the easiest thing ive ever done. It only took me about an hour.
The key to this is to just De-pin your current harness plugs, and repin the wires to look like the following pictures. Except the BLUE Plug. DONT REWIRE IT. Just leave the blue plug as-is and plug it into the UKDM cluster[/B]
If a wire is not used, leave it unpluged!! The dimmer switch still works for all instrument panel lights except the cluster. The cluster always shines at full brightness.

hehehe,
I just might give it a try... I've had my VTI cluster sitting on my shelf for over a year now with all of my turbo stuff lol.

I got mine for 180 on ebay(buy it now). That was a steal. The speedo needle was way below zero, and the seller thought it was broken. I have worked with clusters before, and knew better. I figured I needed to take the needle off anyway to re calculate the correct mileage, so I poped the needle off, put the correct mileage for my car, put the needle on right, and its as good as new.
Expect to pay upwards of 250-350 bux.

hahaha, I just put mine in.
The funny thing is, I've had mine sitting on my shelf for over a year... It took me all of 15min to put the VTI cluster in.... that included a little drive to check it out LOL.
I used droppedcrxsi's pin/color out and it worked like a charm. I must say, there were no wires to extend at all (91Si) just moved the pins around and it was good to go.
Big thx to droppedcrxsi for the pinout
Also it is perfect for my b18c1 cause the tach reads past 8000 rpm. looks like I hit rev-limit @ 8250-8300 not the 8k the Si tach went to

The uk cluster has a 150mph speed gauge not 180 kph like jdm, it's tach redlines at 8k and goes to 9500. and it have a low fuel light but you have to wire up the sender for that.

This is the exact same reason i got my VT cluster instead of swapping clusters. After seeing pics of Droppedcrxsi's cluster installed, it just looks so damn clean

i tought it was plug and play, hmm, if i could find one sub $200 i'd be down for one, other than that, no thanks a usdm gsr cluster can be had for less than $50 and keep me happy
But then you need the gsr/civic speed sensor. That can be pricy, I sold mine for 55 bux. I know that thats not a lot, but you have to wire all that up, and mod the gauge hood to make it fit. Time is money. I am just comming at it from a different perspective. But The gsr/ type r cluster is defiantely NICE!!!

not to mention even after you mod the gauge hood the **** still doesnt look right, the only other cluster i would want to install besides the VT cluster (which i have
) is the S2K cluster

The trick to installing this cluster if you have a 90-91 already is to take the guts out of the VTI Cluster and put them in to your stock Cluster, its 100% plug and play that way with no rewiring of anything.
Note this only works on 90-91, 88-89 you have to rewire regardless
