How much longer do the ES100 last VS Azenis?
Looking for a daily driving / weekend auto-x tire that will last me awhile daily driving and not break the bank.
Azenis are a tad annoying on the street.

Get MX, Dennis. You won't like ES100, unless you have track wheels/tire combo set aside.

Used both...didnt like the ES100...use the neova AD07 for daily driving, also serves as an awsome tire for wet conditions.
if you decide on the neovas dennis lmk

Dennis,
I've had both and the es100's last a bit longer, but if it were my money I'd go w/ the MX. Have them on the p-car and they are awesome for the price. Best buy of all the tires you're considering.

i am also curious about the kumho mx's. however, i can't seem to find an appropriate size for 16x7 rims.
205/55/16 - too tall + rubbing (with lowered sus.)
225/50/16 - too wide & tall + rubbing (with lowered sus.)
with 15's and 17's, there seem to be better choices. :shrugs:

16" tire sizes suck... you knew that when you bought that bling! wait... I thought those were 15x7 TE's you bought?
aloha, brah!

no be ladat. Until the PSS9s are in, the R easily outhandles the pig, so no be J.
99tree suspension is usually toast by 20-30k miles.... why ??? you like race, eh?
and now, back to your local programing.
sorry, dennis....
seriously, consider the MX, too.

How about Toyo T1s
i went with Toyo T1S 225/40/16
and use 16x7 rims when I used to autoX and track (only 3 times for the track
)

I'd estimate that the MX's will go almost 25k miles before having to replace the set. The set I have now has 1 yr/1month and 15k miles on it and has another 3/32" to 1/8" of tread depth left before hitting the indicator. That's about 1/3 of the tread left not counting using some of the meat under the wear indicator.
They originally started at 9/32". The Azenis start at 8/32", and most other street tires will start at 10/32", unless you shave them.
The one time I looked at my friend's ES100's, the compound looked a lot harder and greasier than the MX's. The MX's are definitely a much softer compound.

You can't go by that. The tread wear number system varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, complying with the UTQG. Can someone back me up on this or am I way off?

anyone tried the new RE-01R yet? i've read (in japanese magazines of course) that it outperforms the RE-01s and Neova AD07 by a significant margin. they're pretty expensive but i'm thinking about picking up a set anyway
Funny how no one is answering the original question:

Azenis typically last anywhere from 10K to 15K miles, with an occasional outlier at 20K but that's unusual.
The ES100 will last 2-3 times as many miles as the Azenis - figure 25-40K miles, possibly more. Somewhat less if you use them at track events.
