Default sub wiring Q

I have a 750w mono amp, 2 ohm stable...picking up a set of alpine type r's...i am confused as to whether i should get the 4 ohm or 2 ohm ones...my gut instinct is telling me to get the 4's

can someone confirm/deny this for me?

Well, you'll do right if you follow your gut instinct. Just make sure they're 4ohm SVC and install 2.

The Type R's are only available in DVC.

To achieve a nominal load of 2ohms with 2 subs, you will need the dual 2ohm versions. You will simply wire the coils in series and the subs in parallel. Simple.
