For the cost of a K20R swap you can have a superior B18C swap built to put down over 210hp+ to the wheels. Can't do that with the K20R for the same price...</TD></TR></TABLE>
yeah dude but you reall dont have to go through alot of trouble to get the k20C engine to that point .

Price wise, yes. But a K20 w/ bolt-ons puts down incredible numbers.

what will you be using the car for?
remember even though the k20 is far better than b18c, you have to consider the reliability and comfortability of the car. with a b18c you could keep all the accesories, and practically nothing need to be modified or custom made, you could buy parts for it over the counter.
but if you plan on having a race car and the rules permits it, or you don't care for rule, then a k20 is a better route.

One big reason im going to get a K20 is because the Ooooohhhhs and ahhhhhs Ill get when I pop my hood thats the honest truth . Plus Ill get a six speed I wont be like everyone else and you have a great chance to improve to a 2.4Liter. Daaaamn
guy that bought my old car recently did a k20 in it, with a cai and tuning with a k-from, the car put down 212 and 150. these engines have amazing potential, look at dennis's hondatar h1 car, isnt it liek 253 with the engine remailing untouched.
kseries
sure you can get 212 from your b18c5, but you dont have oem stock reliability anymore

Are we all forgetting something here? $$$MONEY$$$ Price wise on the same budget... B series swap is still KING. Better yet a B20Vtec.
If you spend 8-10K on a B series swap versus a swap with the K20 in the same budget, you will rape a K20.
Sure each engine has it potential, and the K20 motor is technically advanced over the B series motors. But the price make the K20 look unattractive even though it's a very SEXY motor.
With all this money being spend... my choice motor would be an B18A/B or B20B/Z built with sleeves & Turbocharged. Can you say your a proud member of the 500HP CLUB? ( Deja Vu CheeseFrog)
Comes down to it, $8K to 10K spent for a mildly modded K20 at 220HP+ cannot be sexier than a B series motor on boost pumping 400hp+... can it?

Kinda of debatable depending on the platform you are using that motor in. Personally I'd just run an ls with a block gaurd and basic internals and boost it. Seeing as how you can get the Ls for dirt these days. However the K series has incredible potential just looking at South Florida's RSX. WIth a head gasker, head studs, and I think a mild street cam the car made 416 to the wheels on stock internals and 17psi
