brake question....
i was installing my brakes and had taken the cap off the master cylinder and forgot to put it back on, when i first finished the brakes i pumped them to set the pads in place and may have started the car and pumped them again. i then realized i had my MC cap off still, did pumping the brakes unpressurize the system at all. my brakes seem like i have to push them way too far down to work, my booster is fine btw it holds pressure pedal doesnt fade to the floor at all.
Sounds like you need to re-bleed the whole system for more air bubbles.
What brake system changes did you do? I suspect it was more than just pads.

all i did was change the front pads that was it. i would really like to bleed the system and put in some new fluid, can anyone point out a write up or article on how to bleed the brakes. My chiltons gives a vary vague disription. I know how to do it, crack the bleeder valve and pump the brakes till there is no bubbles, but i need to know what wheel order to do it in.

This info came from my honda shop manual for an 88 civic.
since you said that it's mixed up I double ckecked it. I posted what was in the honda manual correctly. I also checked haynes it's the same as honda. checked chilton and concluded that it's garbage.
I'm right i think your mixed up.
Pic is kinda hard to see.

i work in parts at a VW dealer and i asked some of the techs, some of which have worked at honda, and they all said to start at the farthest point from the mast cyl and work towards it
