Default swapped JDM b16a in eg, having some problems, PLEASE HELP

ok, so i just finished swapping a jdm b16a gen 2 w/ LSD tranny into my eg and i took it for a test drive and i noticed some problems....

- when turning i feel a knocking in the steering. the wheel has to be all the way turned or close to it, and it only does it when the wheel is turned right.

- the motor doesnt seem as powerful as it should. there is a check engine light on, so i thought maybe that was why, but not sure

- everytime i shift to 2nd, the gear grinds, is it a bad tranny? bad syncro?

any help is appreciated, thanks alot

If the tranny is grinding when going into 2nd. The 2nd gear syncros can be messed up. Or even the gear itself can get messed up. I think the reason you are feeling the knocking in your steering wheel is because your passanger side axle might have a messed up joint.

Check the engine light code to see why its throwing a code, and start trying to clear away any check engine lights you have and then see how the car feels after that.

Make sure you cheak the fluid level in the trans.
Cheak the codes to see what the are.

your tranny is not completly bad but your synchros may be out...do not use oil for fluid...spend the money and use hond mtf...
