sucks to own an integra

a more important factor than production year, however, is trim level.....

You should always park your teg in a garage if you have access to one.

Its kind of aggrivating to know that theives are so hotly after our tegs.

It reminds me of a conversation i had with my sister the other day. I was telling her about the mods i have planned for my car over the next few weeks and she replied, "Why would you do that and make your car more flashy and attractive to theives?" This comment was related to the fact that about a week or so before that i had my car broken into and had over $1000 worth of audio equipment stolen.

My reply to her was that neither I nor any other person should feel discouraged from owning nice things, tastefully modding our cars, or otherwise enjoying the fruits of our labor for fear of theives. I continued to tell her that to stop workin on my car and to sacrifice the pleasure i find in doing so would be to let the thieves win. With me, that does not sit well. I have a complex about me that makes me push back harder, when pushed.

Do any of you agree with me on this? Even my best friend/brother integobsession got his 01 gsr jacked, and he told me afterwards that he felt discouraged from building up another teg because it would be essentially paying for the same mods twice. That left me with not much to say.

Furthermore, and a bit off topic, i'm discouraged a bit in our own group of enthusiasts. I say so because i believe we in part perpetuate this type of theft and burglary. We so hotly desire parts and good deals that i rarely see anyone give any thought to where the parts came from. And even when we do care, what can we do about it? Its not as though we really have a good means of tracking the origin of parts n such. But we as a group create such high demand for these products and the popular methods in which our subculture barters and conducts commerce for these parts makes it highly fertile territory for thieves to steal and sell back goods. Actually, now that i've gotten it off my chest, let me correct myself. I'm not so much discouraged but i feel helpless to do anything about it.

comments?

If there were more type R's made, they would own the list.

Im not surprised at all......sucks

A garage is nearly a must with a teg.

That is the reason I would never buy another integra.... unless it was a track only car.

I loved my integra, but having to worry about it all the time isn't worth it.

Trust me.

i mostly agree with u, but in my circumstances i gotta be as careful as i can be... if i get jacked i wont be able to have a car in a very very very long time. so ill just keep it unflashy and relatively clean and throw in some stuffed animals to make it look like a girls car. i even considered taking off my GSR blades and replacing it with LS rims or some other rims.

lol... you remind me of an old friend. he had a way modded up 328i bmw and he bought like a mad girly windshield visor to put up in his car to try n do the same thing. hehe... it always gave me a good laugh. What i find ironic is that another one of my friends(a girl) had her car broken into and her head unit, & cds got jacked. THe peculiar part is that the stuffed animals she had in her car.... they got stolen too!!! puhahahahah.... i thought that was the funniest thing. A big bad theif breaks into a car and runs away with stuffed animals puhahaha.

haha, glad i have a DA. i thought DA's were easier to steel because there older, and dont have as much safety features as the newer ones do, and also cuz theres no metal thing that runs around the window like alot of other cars..
