Default Cam Gear Install Question

I am about to install cam gears on the GSR that i recently bought and i see that the top of the timing belt cover has been cut off.. so how can i possibly make sure that everything is at TDC.. i can do that crank one because the bottom of the cover is still there however the top is not.. how do i make sure the cams are i the correct position? are the keyway holes supposed to be straight up?

Thanks
Dan

You can put something in the cylinder that rests on top of the #1 piston to determine what is TDC. A long screw driver or something.

And heres a pic of how the cam gears should line up. Its easier to line up the middle marks (TDC marks) instead of the Up arrows, they will point slightly forward.

Be sure to align the cam gears to the top of the cylinder head and bring the #1 cylinder up to TDC. Thats it your motor will be at TDC.
