Default What is the purpose of this?? Show? Function?

The wristband/socks whatever you want to call them, what is the purpose of them?? (im talkin bout the blue ones in the top right of this pic) do they serve a purpose?

i think they are for looks but they are supposed to absorb any fluid that leaks out

usually used on track cars. When they do hard cornering in the twisties, the socks absorb any(if any) brake fluid or power steering fluid that leak out. Keeps the engine bay clean. HTH

a lil bit of show and also helps keep the engine cleaner and fluids not everywhere.

I boiled my fluid on the track a few weeks ago needless to say the sock kept the fluid off alternator belt and my paint.

so if you track race they definitly serve a purpose.

well guys, i already have some wristbands, bought em just for the resovoir . .. ill take pics in a bit, right now im cleaning up the engine bay . . .
