Tein SS suspension review
** Mod's, please move this thread if you feel it belongs in "Wheels/Suspension" **
I am writing this review becuase when looking for a new suspension I had trouble sifting through all the BS reviews from people who:
A. Dont like TEIN
B. Had never driven an integra with this suspension on it
Car:
'98 Integra GS-R
Stock except for exedy clutch, 9lb flywheel and CAI
Process:
Price Paid: $875 (s&h included)
It took a good deal of time to get this stuff on. Had problems with the LCA bolt being seized. When we finally got this out the install went fairly smooth. We made sure to lube the new bolts up with some Copper Anti-Seize and replaced the bushings with Energy Suspension bushings. Anti Seize:

It took about 1.5 hours to finally get everything set to the correct height. Tires off, adjust, tires on, lower the car, check it out and then repeat (You can adjust the front height with the tires on if you want). I am currently running a 1.25 inch drop on the front and a 1 inch drop in the rear for now until I make sure I can clear all speed bumps into my apt. complex
.
Review:
The car feels much tighter now. Body roll has been reduced significantly and steering seems to be much more responsive. The car feels much more nimble.
0 being the stiffest, I have my fronts set on 6 and the rears set on 8. The ride is noticeably stiffer than stock. You feel every bump and I must say it is taking some getting used to, but the ride is defiantely much more fun. I have never experienced an auto-x or any other racing event, so as far as the track use is concerned, I dont know if this would be the best fit. For a daily driver, it definately creates a stiff/lower/better handling ride, a setup that is perfect for the street, especially with its 16 way adjustability.
All in all, I am very pleased with this setup and would recommend it for a daily driver/street setup.
