Is porting and polishing necessary to make power?
Im fairly new to the NA scene. trying to build a nice setup right now, not necessarily a killer one. but ive talked to some shops around my area and they
told me that w/ I/H/E, p&p, complete valvetrain wit cams on gsr at 11.8 CR will
yield around 190 whp.
now the thing is, i wanted to get 190-200 whp without messing with p&p.
can this be done?
by reading different setups and the power they made, i assumed i could with the follwoing:
b18c1
wiseco 11.8 CR
stock gsr rods shot peened <----sp????
icebox, jdm dc 4-1, rsr*mag exh.
omni cams w/ complete valvetrain.
does 190whp seems reasonable without p&p??

i did it with a b18c1 25 over ctr pistons skunk 2 stg 3 cams skunk manifold 65 mm throtlle body greddy headers stock head(p72)i made 200 at the wheels @137torque mind you that was after 22 dyno passes back to back so it would probaly have made 202-204 if it was fresh
