I recommend the RS-R Exmag. Quiet, deep sounding. Not stock levels yet very close to it.

I used to have an old school Thermal R&D canister type. Sounded beautiful, low and deep, with a slight tingy high when you were really on it. Best exhaust ive ever heard besides a Trust/Greddy that was on a Skyline once.

Or you can not spend $600 and just pay for the brand name

And go to a muffler shop and say you want a 2.25-2.5' mandrel bent exhaust with a magnaflow muffler and 22" resonator.

Best hp gains, great sound, best price

Shouldnt be a hair over $350

I am personally using no cat, with a 30" glasspack mounted in the tunnel, and the pipe exiting the passanger side where the pipe makes a 90 deg. bend..... i dont have $50.00 in the whole system.... and believe it or not the long *** glass pack is not that loud at all..... cant wait for the turbo to go on thought...

I used a 2.5" Custom setup all the way back, coupled it with a 5Zigen Axle Back Fireball and 2 resonators... no cat, and it exits on the passenger side. Sounds beautiful... and it only cost $220 total. Also, the 2 resonators are nice and quiet... until you get on it that is. Oddly enough, everyone wants to buy it...

Check this place out... they aren't cheap, but they sound like what you're looking for... deep and grumbly.

I had one on the CRX I sold about 3 months ago and had it on the car for approx. 5 years. Sounded and performed excellent.

Ive read tha tthe APEXi WS is probably the most subtle and quiet exhaust that you can get other than your OEM one. And I dont think it looks all that bad either

My Thermal sounds like total ****. Probably because I have no cat. If you don't run a cat, don't get a thermal. It sounds so ricey and raspy.
