Wiring up 2 12" kicker comp vr's
i have 2 12" dvc 4 ohm kicker comp vr's. am going to be running a kx600.1 to them. now, with the dual + and - inputs on the subs, how do i run the wire to the subs? do i just run the + wire to both positive inputs and likewise on the negative? am wanting to get the most out of the amp that i can but am kind of lost at the moment on this.
thanks
thanks
is that amp stable at 1ohm?
if it is you could wire it by running all pos to pos on the amp and neg to neg
but i doubt that amp is 1ohm stable
i could be wrong
get a nice powerful (1000rms up) 1ohm stable class D amp like mine and feed them what they really can handle
good choice of subs by the way!

no the kicker 600.1 is a mono amp, you should probably wire each sub in series ( + to - to + to -) and then wire the subs together in parallel (+ to + and - to -) resulting in a 4 ohm load. That's what I'd do anyway. If you need it drawn out or anything let me/anyone else know.
I'd appreciate a sketch if at all possible. I have one from a co-worker but wouldn't mind a second opinion as this guy doesn't always seem to be the brightest.
it had a wire from black to red/white, then the normal red to the amp and black/white to the amp, repeat for second sub.

Sorry no sketch, but, wire the VC in paralle on both speakers,[+ to+, -to-] [2 OEMs each] then take the pos. wire from one of the speakers and wire it to the neg. wire of the other speaker, that will leave you with a pos. wire from one speaker and a neg. wire from the other speaker [4 OEMs] wire them to amp.
I hope this is clear enough, I am still learning how to use the computer

ps do a search there are a number of " sketchs" in this form.

why on earth would you do that??
wire each sub at 2ohm on each channel on the amp to get the most out of it, thats it
