Viper Alarm Q's
Ok, I have an old Viper 700 in my prelude. (that has been sitting for 16 months). After months and months of work on the engine, we get everything hooked back up and start it.
The alarm appears to work at first glance. But first I noticed that when disarming, the locks would not unlock. Then I noticed that the alarm would just randomly go off. So now, I took the harness (really shitty wiring job done by the people who installed my alarm) untangled the mess and began debugging. Found 3 broken wires (one for the locks, one for power to the led, and a ground wire that was hanging on by a thread. Put everything back together, and everything starts working like it is supposed to. But now, the alarm brain is sending out a constant 12 volt signal to the parking lights for about 10 seconds.
My question is, has any one ever heard of this, and does any one know where I can get a replacement brain that will work with the same harnesses?

Did it do this before? If you are getting 12v's to your lights, it's most likely the domelight supervision output on the brain. I have mine on the domelight, but sometimes people like it on the parking lights.

I know what you mean, then why not remove the alarm and all its messy wiring,do a bench test on it ,[ all you need is a batt. or batt. charger] and if its all good ,reinstall it properly.

no, it never did this before.
It used to just flash the lights and call it a day, now the parking lights stay on for 10 seconds, and the alarm tries to arm itself twice.

Try rebooting the alarm, unplug it for 1 or 2 min. turn ign. on or start car,[ silent power up] plug alarm in again, turn ign. off , test alarm.
