Default Fuel + Spark = No Start???

This is really getting on my nerves.... My friends 90 EX sedan died last night while she was driving. I have checked fuel and spark and both are there, changed fuel filter (cause we had one) and still it just cranks. No codes, but there has to be something I'm over looking. Someone out there has had to have had this experience. Please, if anyone has ANY ideas, shoot them my way.

Thanks for your time
Charlie

Something's probably causing the injector's not to fire,,most likely id say the distibutor took a crap,it has a pickup inside it that tells injectors when to fire

If you have spark its not likely the distributor. There are a few more possibilities, If the timing belt jmped teeth, you would have spark and fuel but at the wrong times, no start. Also another possibility is that its flooded, not too uncommon for that car. Try removing the spark plugs and seeing if they are soaked in fuel, if so, you do have fuel entering engine but not being burned. Dry off the plugs and reinstall them, now crank the engine with throttle held wide open and fuel line pinched to prevent further flooding. When the engine begins to fire, slowly add fuel. Note: dont crank too long with fuel line pinched, restults in failed fuel pump.
For all of this to work, spark has to be strong and at correct timing. Hope this helps, just a few things to help get it started again.

So untrue..distributor has own seperate pickup inside it to fire injectors..so it will still fire a spark but injectors will not work.

A bad engine or wiring harness ground will cause those symtoms. Check to see if the ground wire on the therostat housing is loose.

Check the ground connections. Had the same problem in my ZC crx. Its small to look over and makes you feel like a bitch when its only a ground as your plroblem!

Default Woot... I have to thank all of you PROBLEM SOLVED!

The simple little things... the screw that hold the rotor to the dist. shaft came completely out. I feel idiotic that I over looked that simple little screw. Thanks to all who helped me... I owe you
