Will running the stock air box with a comptech intake arm result in a louder sound compared to a complete stock system? How much louder is it?

 

I would imagine that it would sound pretty close to the same..
since its after the resonator.

 

If you are still using the stock air filter I wouldn't think it would make a big difference in sound. The inside of the stock ITR arm is pretty smooth inside already.

I was thinking about doing that about a month ago but I emailed comptech and they said it would not work because the length of the arm is different than the stock. Either that's true or they were just trying to sell me on the whole package.

 

When I had mine I could tell a a difference in sound. Its not a lot louder, but it is.

I later gota deal on teh comptech arm. That made it louder, but not AEM loud.

 

But why using the comptech arm?
