anyone using an auto ecu for a manual?
i'm getting an auto pr4 ecu obd0 for my 5 speed. I heard that it doesn't matter just the check engine light goes on. Anyone have experience with this?
i used to have a p75 (ls automatic) in place of my p72.....
RPMS in engine would periodically fluctuate between like 1K and 2K, and of course, i had no VT4K.....
.....but i still got from point A to point B

Yes, I ran my 1997 LS automatic ECU in my Integra after I did the 5-speed conversion and continued onto a built turbo setup. No problems at all, except for the CEL that's always on.
It lights up the code for a malfunctioning automatic shift solenoid. It's one of the codes not listed in the main code list. #1660 I believe I forgot. It's on because you have to secure the shift slider in the PARK position so you can take the key out. Car find is odd that the car is moving in the PARK position, so that's why the light is on.
Doesn't affect performance at all.

Mine did that too, but it was from a faulty IAC. When the car was nice and warmed up, it was fine.

Bringing this back so I can share too. I didn't know I was sold an automatic ECU and thought A51 just meant that it was a newer version than my original unit.

For some reason I never got a CEL, but my idle was also weird until it warmed up. I eventually did the ECU conversion and the problem seems to have been solved (It's only been one day).
Prior to this, I'd done a major downgrade to stock all at once so I thought I had some kind of vacuum leak. I'd messed with the FITV, cleaned the IACV multiple times (that might have been a bad idea - initial startup now seems a bit weak), changed multiple gaskets (IM, EM, TB) and hoses, changed the PCV, and probably other things too. I was getting frustrated and just about ready to start chucking tools at the motor. So my precaution to anyone else having this problem: go with your instincts and check the obvious first.
On the upside I have new gaskets and hoses.

I did an auto to manual swap and left the auto ecu there. what needs to be done is to take apart the wires that are on the auto ever or were the d,r,n,d1,d2 is and re wire the whoe thing, there is a good write up here some where about what you need.
