Default o2 tank experiment

I borrowed my gramp's o2 tank and hooked it up to my intake and it made my car so freaking quick!!! I just turned **** on the tank from inside and floored it. I think my car gained at least 60 hp. NO LESS!

hmm...i would like to see that on a dyno. i mean it makes sense that it would help because the only part of the air from the atmosphere you are burning is the oxygen. however, i would imagine that getting your bottle filled would be a bit more expensive than nitrous. but if you are into the whole experimentation thing, get on a dyno, get some baseline numbers, do a run with o2 and one with nitrous and see what kind of gains you are getting for the price.

If your grandpa dies from missing his O2 tank someone's gonna sue LOL!!!

I totally hear ya on that one. My roomy was naggin me to hook up an air tank I had laying around to my intake (through pcv). We didn't have a long enough hose so all i could do was turn on the air while idling. It did raise my RPM so you could be onto something.

By the way how do the accords monitor air/fuel ratio? Correct me if I'm wrong but the 96 Accord EX doesn't have a mass airflow sensor.

Definitely keep an eye on your temp guage. If I had to guess its gonna burn hotter than normal, but if you're only running it for a minute or whatever. What kind of pressure are you running by the way?

You are gonna blow yourself up riding in a car with pure oxygen going to the motor. You know there is a reason people don't do this.
