no experience on it, but im betting that it wont be too much...and prolly a waste of time really. unless you were building for turbo but as you mentioned, thats out of the question... just make a list of all the things you want to do to it for your rebuild... and find out the prices on all of those things...then find the price of an h22a... have a lil patience... learn how to swap an h22a in that time, and you will be much happier with the end result... but if you are still sayin h22a is out of the question, just do a lil research, talk to local machine shops, performance shops, online aftermarket shops, and honda-tech.

i second FatJoe...building up for bolt ons is just plain pointless. rods and pistons alone will run you ~$900 (forged of course). all that for MAYBE 10hp?

though a built f is kinda rare and expensive, the rewards are great if its dont right. all motor doesnt just mean bolt ons...higher compression, all forged internals, new cam, FM, header...etc. lets not foget biss's f22b2...and remember some of the best motors in the world are based on older designed valvetrains

Yes, lets not forget Bisomoto and his team. All motor F22 power!

Also the member named Niejeb had a sick cl with an f22. I don't know if he is still on here but I searched for his name and could not find anything. He had a really strong turbo f22.

an ex-mod of this site, Misa (SohcArchAngel) was using higher compression pistons in his f22 i remember...i remember him saying that it made quite a bit of difference in power delivery...

You would not only get 10 hp from rebuilding the internals. I have built a F22a1 and we looked at 42 hp gained after dynoed. A good estimate is between a 35-50 hp gain after internals are built. (if done correctly and with a qualtiy product)
