Default DYI Cowl Air :)

I tried the washer thing and it was kinda chauncey. So i went out and got 4 1/2 inch spacers and made my own custom cowl air now. when i had the washers it didnt kick the rear up enuff to get air flow in. hopefully this helps a little with getting cooler air in . im also trying to get another driver side headlight and gonna hollow out the high beam and feed it right into the turbo inlet. . . anyway enjoy .looks kinda ricey, but function over form .

wow. if you ever got in a front hit collision would the hood come flying into the windshield to decapitate?

No, the hood is still bolted to the hinges.

Has anybody ever designed an actual cowl high pressure intake for the DC2?

AJR designed one for the EP3, but I haven't seen them sell any after they designed it.

I've always felt we were ignoring a logical cold air, high pressure intake possibility.

Me = wondering how that will effect aerodynamics and airflow at speed.

Let's get you to a wind tunnel with those nifty smoke wands Pete.

Try old school tech from Domestics in the 60's.

If it works it works, but when it's on a stock EF cibic or something with mismatched wheels and blingy wing it sure does amuse me.

yes, becuase i tried it with 8 washers on each side, and it didnt seem to do much . now i can actually see in from the back so i know theres room for air to get in.

im not toofond of the looks either, but idont own a show car. its a racewhore.

Look at this sucka jockin my style...

I have about 7 washers on them as well, and it doesnt prop it up *that* much higher. I can see why Pete got the spacers.

well, are you logging lower intake temps now as a result of the cowl? 146 ain't bad at all for FI. I got into the low 100 and I'm NA with about 80s ambient temp. When you logged 146 were you moving or just staging?

i havent driven the car yet. i wont get the new turbo until tommorow prob and it will go in sometimes this week and hopefully retuned by next week . but we sall see how it works. the 146 temps were staging/standing still. ive seen it go down to 118 i tihnk it was while under load down the track. i gotta check the logs again though
