call or email ***** Tagliavini, the owner. he's a good guy and will likely take good care of you. i had a set which i purchased through a dealer, then heard of the problem before i even used them. ***** didn't even ask for a receipt. he just told me to send them directly to him, and that he'd upgrade me to the new ones w/harder tips for free. all that i paid was shipping. Damn, that sucks but your like the 3th guy that had problems with SuperTech vavles.

When I work at Acura, I had 2 guys calling me for OEM replacement on ITR valves due to the same issues you have with Supertech valves. As far as I know, Supertech replace them for you at cost of the part.

Well this is startling news. I had a SuperTech valvetrain planned into my summer budget, but now that might change to Ferrea (really ******* expensive though) or something else.

check out omniman's valves - some of the highest flowing and they are made from some really damn heat resistant materials.

Would these be suitable for forced induction also? I know this isn't the right forum, but I read both from time to time.

those valves are ****. they are no different than oem valves, minus that bullshit coating they have received. who the **** in their right mind would run a 2 peice valve in a high revving engine?

i got my valves for $7/per, made from nv-8, which can operate at 1600d, they are one peice, the neck has been rolled for improved flow, and the tips have been hardened.

edit: i gotta break some more **** down on that site.

those springs...a joke. 55lbs of seat pressure from a DUAL spring? goddam...why arey ou gonna lose hp from an engine for an ever so slight increase in seat pressure? my Ferrea's have 55lbs of seat pressure, with 178 lbs at 10mm of lift, coil bind at 20mm, with 13.5 mm of net lift. AND, the ferrea springs dont rob hp by using two springs to do the work.

good price for the Ti retainers, but i wouldnt run Ti retainers personally. they are too heavy for any street applications. you can accomplish the same, while using less weight, by running alum-magn retainers. but all in all, that is a good deal on those retainers.

your supertechs could be older version. they revised the tips and hardened them.

I had the same problem on my rev valves.

supertech has some really good service and should be able to replace them under warranty.

rab is right about 2 piece valves. generally speaking you want to have one piece. but it costs more.

SuperTech stands behind all their parts. Contact them if you have a problem. A batch of bad heat treated valves got out well over a year ago so you probably came across and old set. I have not heard of anyone having problems with valves made and sold in the last year.
