i got 88 crx si, i want to put the b16a from japan. i talked to one smog ref, he said that even if it passes smog and it's all stock i still can't put the motor in because the U.S doesn't have a b16 that year... the earliest year is 93 b16a3 from the del sol and that i have to put a U.S motor in. He said that's the only way to get the(legal certificate badge) that proves that i can have that motor in my car. when CHP pulls me over!!..... is this true????????????
someone please help and let me know how to do this the legal way!
