Default 2004 CRV Keyless Entry Install

I am looking for advice on removing the dashboard pocket on a 2004 CRV in order to install the keyless entry unit. I have done the following from the Honda install instructions for the keyless entry unit:

1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the
radio, then write down the radio station presets.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

I am now on step 3, which is as follows:

3. Open the lid. Remove the dashboard pocket (one
self-tapping screw, and pull out to release the two
clips and three retaining tabs).

Where I am stuck is on the "pulling out" part (yes, I removed the screw already ). I am concerned about how reluctant the pocket is to come out (i.e. it seems like it's in there pretty tight). The Honda instructions say "pull out", but I imagine there is more to this. If you have any knowledge of doing this without the dash looking like a burglar hit it, I would be very appreciative of any help. For your reference, I have included the keyless entry install instructions from Honda.

Thanks,

Mike

Hard to explain, hold firmly and give it a quick short jerk,do you fish? if so, its like setting the hook , you want to set it but not rip it out
hope this helps. 94
