are there any valve clearance problems in a B18c5 motor

what block?
is the head milled?

b18c5 block b16 head they have only been resurfed

You will be fine with OEM 3-layer gasket.

Yeah, claying is much more accurate than a reading a post on honda-tech.

what about having the ctr cams with the .25 oversized ctr pistons in the jdm b16? any clearance issues there?
