Default Good suspension, but not much $$$.

I did a search on suspension and the amount of return info was...overwhelming to say the least. I'm not auto-x or racing, just a street car. I just bought the car and the guy that owned it before me put Neuspeed Race springs on, but left the stock shocks in place!!!! So as you can imagine, I'm boucing all over the place. I'm looking for a good damper/spring combo. Maybe Eibach Pro-Kit or Sportline with some Koni Yellows or Reds? Or keep the Neuspeeds and get a damper that will work better with them? I used to drive on Eibach Sportline and Koni Red (00 Civic Si) and I liked the ride. I just can't see spending $1000.00 or more on suspension for my street car. Thanks for any advice/suggestions you can give.

Bilstein sports and GC coilovers. If it's just a street car, well... I guess you can just get the stock GC spring rates. You can throw on different springs with this kit at low cost since they're just 2.5" linear springs.

You may also want to consider the Zeal B kit. You dont have the adjustability of the big brother B2, but it is still a nice kit and is just a bit more than the $1000 ceiling you have set.

And if you ever want to go to autox or track driving, just change the spring rates and your good to go with a good setup

Warren and I seem to always find these susp'n set up post. I will second the Bilstein / Ground Control package. I am using 400lbs front, and 500lbs in the rear. Under $850 for the set up.

If you really want it to handle well go back to stock. You could probably take it to a acura dealer and get a new set of stock springs.

i bought new ITR springs and ITR shox for the front and Koni yellows for the rear for my GSR. I love them. If you don't autoX or anything, I think the ITR springs and shox are good. Koni Yellows on the ITR use the old CRX mount I think and I have heard to stay away from these because you will not be able to adjust them well (cause you have to take the shox out to adjust it). If you have stock shox, get the stock springs cause they have been designed for each other

I have GC w/ Koni Yellows on mine and its a smooth ride. The only problem is that you have to take the rear ones out if you want to adjust the damper on the koni's. Otherwise, its a good combo for $1000!! HTH...

For the Bilstein / Ground Control package, what length springs should I get...7", 8" ?

This is exactly what I'm doing now. I'm working on a deal to get stock ITR springs and I'm just going to reinstall them (hopefully my stock shocks are still okay from the Neuspeeds). How much lower is the ITR compared to GS-R when both have stock suspensions? Like 1" I think? Thanks for all of the replies.

If it is bouncing, the shocks are probably shot. I'd look into a new set of shocks. I don't think the OEM R shocks are too expensive.

I think thats about right. The nose just barley scrapes curbs if you pull too far up when parking.

For damper kit, I will suggest the KGM DR damper kit. KGM offers 4 dual rate (progressive) springs and 4 short stroke damper (rates F.10k R.8k) . Ride is very comfortable. You can get more info at http://www.kgm.co.jp .

For coil-overs, just go with the true coil-overs. Zeal B kit will be a good option as R&D saids.
