I saw a post once about Honda thinking about releasing a new CRX in a couple of years. I even saw a pic of the possible way it migh look, anybody have any info?

hell yea its called the insight! so if they were to release something like it again it would look or ever be related to our crx's. besides honda would prolly put some weird *** name on it like npz type s of couse...

I wouldn't count on having the CRX come back to the Honda lineup. The insight is as close we're gonna get to a CRX. I guess somepeople would say the RSX would be the CRX in Honda's line up right now.

 

There is a big huge rumor going around that the CRX will be rereleased. I think it will be still be called the CRX. It is supposed to have something like 160 hp. I dont know much about it. It will be very economical car like the insight. The body style looks nice. Just take a Ford Focus for instance and cut the roof in the back to match along the window line on the side instead of going straight back and you have a CRX. Looks good.

Thats all I know about it. I will try to find a picture and post it.

 

Please dont make another crx. the ones we have are great. and work well as they are. if they where to make a new one the body lines would be all messed up and it would never look like a crx. (just have the name of it)

I agree...why risk wrecking our beloved car's name with a POS renamed insight-wanabe? There's no point. The CRX still holds it's legacy from 1991!

Not bad, I kinda like the pic freud, but notice it is a right hand drive car. They would probably release it in japan and europe and deprive us americans.

I think i would buy one and keep the 91 si as well.

They did all the releasing of the CRX they will do. The insight is the CRX of the new millenium. If you look at one from the side it has the same body shape as the CRX and everything. Also remember how the CRX started. As an economical gas saver. Thats exactally what the Insight is. I just think it would be tight to see make and Insight Si. It would be kinda cool to see even if it was only a concept. Although I dont think it will happen. Honda is becoming too distinguished with their cars. There arent many cars that your can buy new from the honda line that have an economy style and a performance model also like the CRX did with the HF, Regular model and then the Si.

Honestly? I hope they DON'T ever re-make it. I mean, yeah, how damn cool would it be to have one in MINT condition inside and out...

But think of it this way...

It WOULD come with a DOHC Engine under the hood. Most likely an i-VTEC engine...

Do you know how many spoiled ricers would be bought this "economy" car?

You'd pull up next to one at a light, and they'd be thinking "ewwwww that's one of those OLD CRX's..... ugly and slow, no wonder they stopped making them. haha I got a new one and I got VTEC"

They would think for some reason they were better.... and that would make me want to break some bones. Seriously, I really hope Honda never makes it again... I like having a unique car, one that I don't see all the damn time. Let's keep it that way.........

 

yeah thats the car hes talking about. I actually hope they do release this sketch as a real car. even if it is not called a CRX, i would probably still buy it. it looks cool. id like to see a concept version instead of the drawing though. funny thing is ive had this car on my desktop for the past 3 months.....heh

No Way! Look at the mirrors, lights, and door cut lines... They all suggest a car that's at least 10% smaller than the RSX. Nice family resemblance, though, eh?

Hmmm... I'm torn. As much as I love my '89, a new one would be cool!

the thing i heard awhile ago was that it was a shortend rsx chasis which is based on the civic euro chasis and all so maybe one day we will see something come of the design
