Default OEM ZC Head Handle 13psi?

Dont know much about what a head can take. But my friends certain he can run 13-15psi tuned on his dual cam zc. Anyone know if there are any problem with oem **** at those levels. I dunno just have some questions

May boost my soch down the road. Head work other than a cam might not be in the budget

Sleeves, as in the sleeves in your block. I dont see why the head wouldn't, your head gasket, rods and/or sleeves might not hold up to it.

I sent you an IM but for the point of people reading this post i'd highly recomend checking out http://www.homemadeturbo.com , they told about block posting and how that will last up to 25 PSI. As for the head i don't see why not but as for the stock rods...i have always heard after 6-8 PSI you need to replace them with stronger ones.

Good luck

Its really all about the tuning. If its tuned correctly, then you should be able to pull it off, but it will be on the edge either way.

The weakest link in a stock d16 are the rods. I think that even with good tuning, your rods will give way and put a hole in your block. You can run about 200 whp safely before requiring upgrading internals. Still at that power I would invest in some internals. You can post the block or get new sleeves.
