4door exterior rear handles on your R, questions...
For the people who have the exterior handles from a four door Teg on the front doors of your R would you ever do it again or recommend it?
also what was required to install them, and what did you do about getting them painted to match?
thanks, I came across a good deal on used ones and would like to know before I spend the cash.

To that end I think the better, easier solution is changing the interior panels to LS to eliminate the power door lock buttons. They can always be moved to the center console or something if you want to keep them for use when in the car.
As for painting, you will get the best result with having it professionally done. It will last longer, and be more chip resistant. I don't think CW/PY/B touch up from a spray can will give the best results (for longevity), but it should work acceptably.
I recommend the full treatment if you DIY it - Sand w/220, clean with alcohol, prime (2+ light coats), sand again w/220 & remove all scratch marks from sanding (reprime if you sand through anywhere), clean, then spray minimum 3+ light coats color. 600 wet sand if you get any orange peel. Insure a dust free area when spraying primer & color. Let it cure (in the sun is good) at least 48 hours before color sanding. More is better. Good luck.

I have a set on my car...... It is pretty funny when you get your car serviced and the technician has a puzzled look on trying to open your car door
At the dealer they come prepainted for your stock color specifications.

Doesn't matter even if your remote fails. When you open/lock your trunk, it actuates all locks (both driver side & passenger side). So, technically, you still have a way to open/lock all the doors w/o sweating a possible remote failure. (This for '98+ Integra)

Not a problem. If the keyless entry fails, you just crawl in through the trunk and unlock the door. Sure, it's a pain, but how often does your KE fail? I'd rather keep my car around longer (avoid theft) and look silly once in a while climbing in through the trunk.
It's RS, not LS. The LS had power locks, and the RS didn't.

Good call on the RS, thanks!
Doesn't leaving the rear lock in place defeat the purpose? A thief can just get in via that lock. Why go to all the hassle of disassembling the doors and painting the handles, then leave this weak link? Makes a nice back door if the KE fails, but still.
No, I don't think 4 doors came in PY, did they?? (Maybe in Japan. In that case, PM Miraiz).
