OT: Top Fuel Recaro's....droool!
Yes, I do believe those Top Fuel seats are simply re-upholstered Recaro Sport seats. They're the same as the oem seats on the new Civic Type R.

when I was at Battle of the Imports in Bakersfield California last Sunday, I saw a white GSR with a full JDM kit, JDM HID's, top fuel full decals, top fuel turbo, B20 engine, etc... with REAL Top Fuel Recaro's in it. After looking at the car closely he had basically every Top Fuel item in the car minus the full body kit and exhaust, which I have! lol I was thinking about offering him the kit and exhaust that I have. Oh yeah, he ran a 11.7 and he was just playing around I could tell.
was it a black gsr ?? if it was and you have pics let me know.. it's probably the same guy that I met that lives in san diego

really? At the Battle they had no kit on it. They only kit piece I saw was a fake top fuel look rear bumper lip. How was it fake? The opening for the exhaust was way too small to ever kit a top fuel exhaust in it. It should have a opening like this to fit the exhaust in:

Also what was odd about the car was how it had the Top Fuel recaro on the passanger side and not the drivers side! In Japan that might be ok seeing that they drive on that side, but this car was US spec! lol
Nice car though with a killer setup, minus the fact that its trying to pass as a type R.

I agree that the Top Fuel kit is kinda excessive. The sides look too stuck on which is why I didn't put them on and the rear is just ugly, however it does make the exhaust look a ton better if you have it. However I got sick of that suck on look, so I took the rear off when I got my new Thermal exhaust and put my 98 back on. As for the front, the Top Fuel I think is the best looking for the JDM front, with the Spoon lip as a close 2nd.
I mean how could this look bad?:

Oh yeah as for ricey, I dunno about that. Wings West, Andy's Autosport, etc... kits are on the ricey side, but true JDM kits are sign of stride in making the kit a true japanesse aftermarket import.
