Tranny Grinding...
Recently my tranny has been grinding 3rd gear everytime I go shift around 5-6k(i usually dont shift that high at many times). Its not like a loud long grind its more like a nick. You can barely hear it but you can feel the gind. It has a slight grind. I recently changed the tranny fluid to GM syncho mesh to help it out but I still have no luck. Is there some sort of waiting period for tranny fluid to start doing its job? I also had a feeling the clutch was slipping at high rpm and did a few test which concluded that my clutch was slowly starting to go, so my question is does the clutch disc have anything to do with the 3rd gear grind? Anything I can do to help the 3rd gear grind? Thanks for your time and input. Also I've been messing with the clutch adjustment. When the grinding used to happen it used to grind hard but after adjusting it, it feels like its grinding less. Only porblem is that my clutch engages when I lift my foot off the clutch half way. If I bring it closer to the floor(engagement point) would that affect anything?
bro read my thread carefully. I've already added it in recently. Ever since the grinding started. How long am I supposed to wait for it to start working?

Took mine 1-2 weeks before it settled and the grinding stopped.

if its only apparant in 3rd gear, than its is most likely a syncro problem
if it happens in all gears, than it is def a clutch problem
fluid will NOT fix a worn syncro

The syncromesh will just be a bandid to stop the bleeding for a bit. Sounds like your 3rd gear syncro is going. See how long you can handle it with the syncromesh, if that doesn't help aid it then its time to start thinking about a tranny rebuild (which would be a good time to get some aftermarket parts, well good excuse to) or you could upgrade trannies depending on what vehicle you have.
Replace that clutch and that syncro in one shot, it'll save you some cash instead of pullling it twice.
