can deg . cams through timming of

I am thinking of putting GE cam gears on my car and was wondering if i deg the cams how bad will it through the timming off. and do you have to use a deg. timming light to get it right? because if you put the crank at TDC and the cams ar at tdc where the arrow is straight up once you put the came gears on doesnt that rotate the distributor. just need some help guys and gals. I just whant to do this correct this saterday so give me some advice . thanks.

the distributor only goes in 1 way, so once the timing belt is installed correctly with everything at TDC ala the service manual just bolt the dist. on and you will be fine.
