Default My Flood/Burning Oil Topic Continued + LINK

So the shop that I took my car to, http://www.autosportdesigns.com, (CHECK OUT THIS SITE IF YOU LIKE PORSCHE's FERRARI'S and ASTON MARTIN'S) to have the insurance work done from the flood that I got into last month, did a compression test and a leakdown test. The results came back good. The compression was 180 across the board and at 175psi every chamber held 97%. So where the hell is my burning oil coming from I asked. And they told me that most likely it is coming from the head and a bad valve guide. Does this sound right? This is an expremely competent shop BTW.

Correct me if I am wrong but 180 sounds kinda low...

as long as the # are even across the board 180 is fine.

could be a valve guide, my friend's VW many years ago was killin oil and then replaced all the guides and it was all better.

I think that is going to be the next logical step.
