Ok my friend has a 92 dx and he just recently swapped a 92 si cluster into his car... and the cluster wont light up but works fine.... the fuse is good.... all the bulbs are good.... but it just wont light up... im starting to think he bought a bunk cluster...

 

put back old cluster and if it lights up the si cluster is bad.

 

is the dimer switch disconnected? mine did the same thing because i didnt have the switch hooked up

 

My cluster lights went out on my 92 hatch a couple of weeks ago. Diagnosed the problem as the dimmer switch. Apparently it is pretty common on the older hatches. Rather than drop the cash for a new one (like $70) at the dealer, I by-passed the dimmer by connecting the solid-red and black wires with a jump wire. BTW, there are 3 wires (the other is red with a black stripe). Do not jump that one.
