Need some help, car is driving me nuts... Fuel pump not working when it rains....
Here is the situation and observations that's been ongoing for about six months. Its happened several times, and the observations are very consistent.
Sometimes, my car doesn't start. Everytime that happens, I noticed the fuel pump doesn't prime. And everytime this has happened, its either raining, just rained, or I just previously drove in the rain. Also, this doesn't happen all the time. I could sit there for a few minutes, and turn the key and it works again, and sometimes it doesn't. I could do that several times. I always eventually get it started, but sometimes, it takes more than ten minutes. Also, when I drive it, it sometimes bogs. And of course, this only happens in the rain.
So what could possibly be going on? I beleive its got to be some kind of short, but where? Its pretty dry in the engine bay. Anyone know where to inspect? Suggestions are welcome.
