Default need help

check this out people, i just got a 92 cx with a JDM b16A. The problem is that the car won't rev over 3500. The harness looks rough, and i am not sure what Dizzy to use for this vehicle. I am used to working on EF's, but for $2500 I couldn't turn it down. ya know. I would appreciate all the help that i can get! Thanx

Sounds like it is in limp home mode. What codes are you getting? You should be getting at least one (but maybe more) with a jacked up harness. If you aren't getting any, I'd check to see that the MIL actually comes on and is connected properly. I've seen bad swaps where people just clipped the MIL lead from the ecu to hide their stupidity. You might have the same issue. Just a thought.

Fix the source of the codes and reset the ecu. It's a programmed defense mechanism, you can't just make it go away.

Is there a site where I can get a list of the OBD-1 Ecu Codes?
