Default Tranny noise in 2nd

I have a Y21 tranny hooked up to a JDM B16 (2nd gen with hydro)
It also has a phantom grip, ACT lightweight fly, and ACT street clutch.

It makes a rattling noise in 2nd gear AND ONLY in 2nd gear. And it doesn't do it all the time. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, what turned out to be the problem? I haven't done any work on it in over 8 months, and it just started doing this.

If it's a ''whining'' sound its your input shaft bearing.

There are a couple of 'good' posts about it that are archived, will basically walk you through replacing it - step by step with pics...

It's not a whining sound. It sounds kinda like marbles inside my tranny or something. And it's only in second gear.

1. Think i'll have any luck draining them out the with the fluid?

2. Will I get more miles out of the tranny if I avoid 2nd gear?

I would just get it inspected to find out for shure

just pull the tranny and bring it up to a tranny shop and see what they say is wrong
